Worship

Wear what makes you feel comfortable! While some prefer to dress more formally, many people also attend in blue jeans (and their favorite team jersey, depending on the season!).

  • Walking/biking: We are located near many downtown residences, buildings, and hotels. Feel free to bring your bicycle into the church – a greeter or security officer will show you the best place to store it during worship.
  • Public transit: we’re right across the Square from the Tower City RTA stop on the Red, Blue, and Green lines. Many major bus routes are also nearby, and we encourage everyone to use the FREE downtown trolley if possible.
  • Car: Free valet service and validated parking are available each Sunday. Click here for more information.

OSC’s facility is friendly, welcoming, and supportive of all your childcare needs. We have a licensed nursery staff and wireless signalers for parents so they are never out of reach. The nursery is located on the main floor at the far end of the long hallway.

Children are also welcome during the worship service. If a fussy child is making their parent uncomfortable, our stress-proof Quiet Room at the back of the Sanctuary offers a carpeted floor, comfy chairs, and a television that broadcasts the service. You are welcome to bring snacks for your children.

Yes! Every Sunday at 10:15am, there are programs for every age and every stage. Children under six have an additional program directly after the Children’s Time part of worship.

Worship at Old Stone is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. While our worship style is somewhat traditional, it’s always contemporary in spirit. Dr. Giuliano has been cited as “one of the best preachers in the Presbyterian Church (USA)” and preaches most Sundays and holiday services. Our 16-20 member choir is one of the best in the state and includes a dozen professional singers, who are often accompanied by our professional organist on our classic Holtkamp pipe organ. Occasionally music will also be played on acoustic guitar, piano, and African drum.

If you are visiting for the first time, we encourage you to sign your name in our Pad of Friendship during the service.

Coffee Hour is held each Sunday in Memorial Hall directly after service. Holy Communion is also offered in the Chapel most Sundays at 11:15am. We encourage everyone to stay for food and fellowship!
