Torry, a native Clevelander and certified Yoga instructor, has been teaching yoga classes for individuals and groups since 2006. Enter through the Ontario Street entrance. Adult Education Opportunity: Servant or Sucker? “I never hand out money on the street,” “I give to anyone who asks,” “I feel really uncomfortable when someone asks me for money,” “I have no idea what to do.” Do any of these statements sound familiar? One of the challenges we face as an urban church community is how to respond to the prevalence of panhandling in our city. Join Student Pastor Robin Craig for a two-part look at the dilemmas posed by panhandling and the situations that foster it on Sundays, March 7 and March 14 at 9:00 a.m. in The Gallery. Let’s begin to explore compassionate and effective responses designed to further self-reliance rather than dependence. We’ll watch short portions of the video Servant or Sucker, and discuss our own experiences and ideas. Stop by coffee hour and bring your food and drink back upstairs.
