There’s joy in the heart of the city!

From our Christmas pageant to our trademark services and music accompaniment, Old Stone offers an array of holiday programming that has something for everyone. Bring your kids to our fun, exciting glow-stick service, or choose a more traditional occasion with one of our two candlelight services on Christmas Eve (and don’t forget the wonderful selection of Christmas music beforehand!).

We hope you join us this Christmas in the heart of Public Square in downtown Cleveland!

  • 8pm: Traditional Candlelight Service I
  • 11pm: Traditional Candlelight Service II

Both candlelight services will be preceded by a half-hour of classic Christmas music.

Other Advent and Christmas Activities

November 25th through December 16th: Sing We Now of Christmas – The Christmas Carol Bible Study

Wouldn’t it be fun to get together and sing some of our favorite Christmas carols? That’s the basis of the Advent study that will be led by Dr. Yoost on Sundays at Old Stone from November 25th through December 16th from 11:30am until 1pm. Each week as we sing, we will look at the texts of Advent hymns and Christmas carols, including some secular songs, to prepare us for the coming of Christmas.

  • November 25th – The Place: Bethlehem, in Jesus’ Time and Ours
  • December 2nd – The Men in the Story: John the Baptist, Joseph, Herod, Caesar, The Shepherds, The Wise Men, and the Angels
  • December 9th – Mary: The Most Powerful Woman in the World!
  • December 16th – The Christ Child

Sunday, December 16th: Annual Christmas Pageant (during 10am worship service)

Tuesday, December 18th: Blue Christmas Services (12:30pm and 7pm)

For those for whom holidays present a particular challenge, please join us and others in a one-hour service of prayer and reflection, and to light a candle for grief, addiction, illness, family dynamics, personal struggles, or whatever you may be carrying in your heart.

Sunday, December 23rd: Christmas Cantata featuring the Old Stone Choir (during 10am worship service)
