There are so many wonderful parishioners, that it takes quite a while to get to know each other! Joining a coffee hour team is a great way to meet and get acquainted with guests and other members. The commitment is approximately two hours and two plates of refreshment every other month.  

Seven teams of 10+ persons, including a team leader, rotate Sundays to provide and serve coffee hour refreshment following the 10:00 a.m. service. For each Sunday that your team serves, your responsibilities would be to:

  • Secure in advance a substitute* for serving dates when you will not be available (*trade with a member from another team, or reserve someone from the sub list)

  • Confirm to your team leader the participation of you or your sub

  • Bring two plates/dishes of finger food to offer during coffee hour (we’re encouraging healthy offerings…)

  • Arrive about an hour prior to the service to help with set up and stay about an hour after the service to serve and help clean up. 

  • Share among your teammates the duties of set-up, greeting, welcoming/introducing guests, serving, and clean-up.

Or, an alternative to joining a team is to be a coffee hour substitute, who coffee hour team members will call to assume their responsibilities, outlined above, when they are not available to serve with their team.

It’s a lot of fun, and a great way to become involved and get acquainted! Please join us.  If you are not yet a member of a coffee hour team and would like to help please see one of the team captains listed above or call the church office at 216-241-6145.

On Sundays when a Browns Game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. we will have an abbreviated coffee hour in the Lounge.
