In the
aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks, Old Stone Church
immediately sent out a call to all of Greater Cleveland to come together in
support of those who suffered, died, or lost loved ones.

As Old
Stone opened her doors to the city, this
sharing of prayer -Christian, Muslim and Jewish- was a reaffirmation
of commitment to the ideals of our nation.
This
bringing together of the city for
spiritual repair and encouragement is something that Old Stone has
done in many times of crisis in the 19th, 20th and now 21st
centuries.

God of ages,
in your sight nations rise and fall, and pass through times of peril.
Now when our land is troubled, be near to judge and save. may leaders be
led by your wisdom; may they search your will and see it clearly. if we
have turned from your way, help us to reverse our ways and repent. Give
us your light and your truth to guide us; through Jesus Christ, who is
Lord of this world, and our Savior. Amen
