"It
is good to give thanks to the Lord, to
sing praises to thy
name, O Most High"
Old
Stone's Music Ministry
A new choir season will begin on August 24, and with that comes the annual
plea
for many more members and friends of Old Stone to join us in the
choir loft. If you have heard our choir, you know that we are
very good at what we do, but we are also open to anyone who wishes
to join us. The guarantee is that you will come out a better singer
once you give us a try for a few weeks. We rehearse an average of
two Thursdays a month. We sing every
Sunday morning for our 10:00 a.m. service, with a warm-up rehearsal
at 9:00 a.m. preceding the service.
The Children’s Choir has a new director, James Love. James has
agreed to take the challenge of teaching our young Christians how to
sing well, properly, and together. You are welcome to bring your
child to the choir which rehearses on Sundays after the service from
11:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Griffiths Chapel. The children are an
active part of the worship service and will participate often.
Upcoming events include a release of the Old Stone Choir and many
other local performers for a new “Sounds of Hope” CD. “Sounds of
Hope” is a non-profit organization that the musicians at Old Stone
Church are glad to be affiliated with. Click
